Jordan Johnson 16yrs, is charged in the death of 14 year old Reynold Bonner.

On Saturday, December 23, 2017 at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to the 200 block of 12th Street West on a call involving a person being shot at the location. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Children’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary investigation suggested two possible motives for the shooting. The first suggest the victim was engaged in a drug transaction with some other males and was shot in the process. A second suggest the victim was attempting to rob another man. The second motive came to light after a male claiming to be the shooter came to the Administration building on his own to speak to investigators. That male was questioned and has not been formally charged at this time.

Further investigation reveled Johnson was with the victim, and they were attempting to rob the man who shot and killed Bonner. Johnson is currently being held at the JeffCo. Jail 100k bond.
