Fontana Man Arrested For Distributing Child Pornography

On 01/17/2018, Detectives from the Fontana Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force discovered Lyn Wayne Massicot (55 years of age) was distributing child pornography over the internet from his residence in the City of Fontana.

A search warrant was served at Lyn’s residence (16000 blk. of Copperhead Ct, Fontana) where Lyn was taken into custody without incident. A search of his electronic storage devices revealed child pornography along with confirming Lyn was distributing child pornography over the internet.

Lyn was booked into the FPD and later transported to the WVDC.

Robbery Duo Try One Too Many Robberies

On 1-14-18, at approximately 4:00 am, officers with the Fontana Police Department were dispatched to an AM/PM, located at 8898 Sierra Ave, in reference to an armed robbery. During the armed robbery the clerk was threatened with a gun and cash was taken. Officers responded and learned the suspects had fled in a light colored sedan. As officers were investigating the robbery, a second armed robbery took place at a 7-11, located at 16701 Arrow Blvd., involving the same suspects. This time officers located the suspects fleeing the scene in their get-a-way vehicle, which was a gray 2006 Chevy Impala.

A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the area of Foothill and Citrus. Officers located a mask, gloves, stolen money, and a loaded hand gun in the vehicle. Michael Walker (32) resident of San Bernardino and Charles Smith (27) resident of Rialto were both arrested for PC 211, armed robbery and booked at WVDC.

Please join us Tuesday January 23rd, at 5:00 pm. We will hold our meeting to the rear of the Fontana Police Department, on Seville Avenue. The address to the FPD is 17005 Upland Ave, Fontana 92335. This will be an opportunity to see the explorer meeting, and have all of your questions answered. You can speak to the explorers themselves and the advisors. We will have applications to send all interested individuals home with. Thanks and hope to see you out there.

#FontanaPD TIME CHANGE: Coffee with Cops will be held on Thursday, January 25th from 4pm to 6pm at the Starbucks located at 16192 Foothill Blvd. Join us for casual conversation, safety information, child ID fingerprinting cards, and child safety seat information. Police Officers will be onsite to answer general questions. Coffee with Cops will take place every other month and times and locations will rotate. We are excited to chat with you, hope to see you there!
