Juvenile Arrested for Assault

On 1/17/2018 at approximately 8:50 p.m. the Murrieta Police Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding an injured juvenile. Officers responded code 3 to the 24800 block of Hancock Avenue and located a female juvenile with significant injuries. The injured juvenile was immediately transported via ambulance to a local hospital. Murrieta Police Detectives responded to the location and assumed the investigation. The investigation revealed that the female juvenile had been injured by her older juvenile brother. The juvenile brother has been placed under arrest and the female juvenile victim is currently receiving medical attention. There are new turning lanes on the north bound I-215 exit at Clinton Keith. Both lanes will now be able to turn right allowing drivers who are turning into the student parking lot to utilize the far right lane and parents dropping off to use the left lane to get to the second and third school driveways!

Probation Search Leads to Narcotics and Weapon

On 1/10/18 at 9:53 a.m. the Murrieta Police Department Special Enforcement Team conducted a probation check at a residence on the 46800 block of Peach Tree Street in the City of Temecula. The resident, Evan Brooks is on active probation for narcotics related charges. Inside the residence, officers located narcotics, narcotics paraphernalia commonly associated with narcotics sales, narcotics paraphernalia commonly used for consuming narcotics, ammunition and a hand gun not belonging to Mr. Brooks.

During the probation search, Mr. Brooks became extremely belligerent and made threats towards the officers. Mr. Brooks was placed under arrest for the sales of narcotics, possessing a firearm while in possession of narcotics, violation of probation, and threats made against the officers. Because of the proximity of Mr. Brooks’ home in relation to a nearby high school, Mr. Brooks was also found to be in violation of 11353.6(g) HS, selling a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school. Mr. Brooks was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center without incident.
