Incident: Subject Wanted for Sexual Assault Arrested
Location: 1600 Block of West Union, Champaign, IL

On January 17, 2018 at approximately 2:36 p.m. officers went to a residence located in the 1600 Block of West Union in Champaign in an attempt to locate a wanted subject. The subject, Davon L. Rodgers, is a 26-year-old Champaign man who has been wanted since December 14, 2017 on a warrant charging him with criminal sexual assault. During their search for Rodgers, detectives learned that he was inside of the residence.

After approximately one hour, Rodgers emerged from the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Rodgers was ultimately transported to the Champaign County Jail. Bond for the warrant is set at $250,000.

Assisting in the arrest of Rodgers were detectives from the Champaign County Street Crimes Task Force, members of the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Fugitive Task, and officers from the Champaign Police Department.
