Aggravated Robbery, 2900 block S. Topeka BLVD

On April 20, 2018, at approximately 1:50 am, Topeka Police Officers responded to the 2900 block of S Topeka BLVD in reference to a robbery to an individual that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the adult victim who stated that two unknown race/age males knocked on his door and told him they were maintenance. The victim opened the door without first checking to see who it was. One of the subjects sprayed the victim with what is believed to be pepper spray as soon as the victim opened the door. The two subjects pushed the victim down on the ground and robbed him of personal belongings. Fortunately the victim was not seriously injured. The suspects then left unknown direction of travel.

TOPEKA, Kan.-
On the afternoon of April 19, 2018 at approximately 5:45 PM officers of the Topeka Police Department responded to the intersection of SW 29th Street and SW Arnold for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian (bike) accident. A 49 year-old male was struck by an eastbound black Dodge Nitro with the driver as the only occupant. The 49 year-old cyclist sustained serious and possibly life threatening injuries. The Accident Reconstruction Team has been deployed to the scene. All lanes between SW Gage and SW Arnold on 29th Street are completely closed. Eastbound could be closed for a longer period of time. Westbound may be open soon. Please seek an alternative route.
