UPDATE 1/17/2018: Due to the hard work of detectives assigned to this case and members of the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, the individual pictured in gray has been identified as Ty Shon Forbes, 21, of 656 Providence St, West Warwick, Rhode Island. Investigation revealed that Ty Shon Forbes originally targeted the victim by watching her receive a high value cash-out at a cashier cage at Twin River Casino. He then followed her from the casino to her residence in Quincy, where the robbery took place. She suffered significant injury, including a broken vertebrae.

Detectives with the Quincy Police Department obtained a warrant for Unarmed Robbery and Assault & Battery on a person over 60. Mr. Forbes, who was already in custody on unrelated charges, was turned over to Quincy Police Department. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Quincy District Court this morning on charges of Unarmed Robbery and Assault & Battery on a Person Over 60.

#OffTheStreets During the month of January 2018, the Quincy Police Drug Control Unit (DCU) initiated an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine. The target of the investigation was identified as Darryl Clemons of 36 Edinboro Road Apt. 1R Quincy.

As a result of this investigation, detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for the residence of Mr. Clemons.

On Friday, January 12, 2018, at approx 2:48pm, the DCU executed the search warrant. A systematic search of the residence recovered the following: cocaine, a .45 Glock 21 semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, Clonazepam, Lorazapam, Alprazolam, approx. $1500 US currency, and other items indicative of drug distribution. The firearm was determined to be stolen in North Carolina in 2010.

Mr Clemons was arrested and charged with the following: 2 counts Distribution of Class B (Cocaine), subsequent offense, 2 counts Possession With the Intent to Distribute Class C (Alprazolam & Lorazapam), subsequent offense, Possession With the Intent to Distribute Class B (Cocaine), subsequent offense, Possession of a Firearm Without a License, Illegal Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Receiving Stolen Property > $250 (Firearm), and Armed Career Criminal.

Keenan is a fourteen-year veteran of the Quincy Police Dept, having been assigned to detectives since 2009. Prior to joining the Quincy Police Department, he was employed by the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office.
