The Livonia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the female seen in this video. The female is a person of interest involved in a larceny of a purse from an elderly female on January 6th 2018. The theft occurred at the Salvation Army located at 33600 Plymouth road. The female then attempted to use the stolen credit cards at a CVS (Five Mile/Newburgh) and Walgreens (Eight Mile/Merriman). She is believed to have been involved in several other area thefts. This is a friendly reminder that the Livonia Police Departments Citizens Police Academy application deadline is Friday January 5, 2018. The Citizens Police Academy will commence on Wednesday February 21, 2018, and meet every Wednesday thru April 25, 2018. Classes will run from 6:00pm to 09:30pm at the Livonia Police Department. During the Academy, Police personnel will offer residents and business owners insight into how Police Officers perform their duties and how the Livonia Police Department serves our community. The purpose of this program is to allow attendees to become familiar with the Police Department through classroom instruction and practical experiences. It is the Police Department’s intent to share with participant’s public awareness about the police department and to increase police/community rapport through this educational process. You must be at least 21 years of age, live or work in the city of Livonia. Applications must be turned into the Livonia Police Department by 5:00pm Friday January 5, 2018.
