Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Officer Cody Healy and Jason Feliciano conducted a motor vehicle stop on January 12, 2018 approximately 10:10 p.m. after noticing a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Chestnut Street near Salmon Street.

The officers stopped the 2008 Toyota Camry a short time later and spoke with the operator, Tanna Halvorsen, 33 of North Woodstock, New Hampshire and her passengers Natalie Collins, 29 of Laconia, New Hampshire and Scott Leighton, 31 of Boxford, Massachusetts.

Officer Healy observed an open plastic bag with a brown colored powdery residue and a small piece of burnt tinfoil in the center console, so he asked the operator to step out of the vehicle. He also located six Alprazolam pills inside of her pocket plus six Buprenorphine and 15 Methylphenidate Hydrochloride pills in her purse.

Thank you Manchester Monarchs for hosting the first annual Highway Safety Charity game to benefit a family in need.

Thank you to the Rollins family, especially Ethan, for making this event so special.

We even played a spirited game between MPD and New Hampshire State Police after a tough Monarchs loss. The two teams played hard and had a great time.

This event is the first of many, so stay tuned for next years event…..
