Update on Homicide on November 28, 2017 –

On November 28, 2017 at approximately 6:40 PM, Hobbs Police Officers responded to an unknown problem in the 500 block of North Selman. A deceased male, later identified as Daniel Torres, 45, of Hobbs, was located inside a residence suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Although the investigation is on-going, detectives have learned that William “Billy” Martinez, 28 of Hobbs, Eduardo Servin, 27 of Hobbs, and 33 year old Danielle Razo, of Odessa, Texas were involved in Torres’ death.

On January 17, 2018 arrest warrants were issued for Martinez and Razo charging them with Accessory to Commit Murder (1F) and Conspiracy to Commit Murder (2F). An arrest warrant was also issued for Servin, charging him with Accessory to commit Murder (1F).

HPD Detectives contacted the Odessa Police Department who located Razo at her residence in Odessa, Texas. She was placed under arrest without incident, and is being held without bond awaiting extradition. Hobbs Police Officers located Martinez in the 900 block of West Caprock and he was taken into custody without incident. Martinez is also being held without bond in the Lea County Detention Center. Eduardo Servin has not been located at the time of this release.

*****Update to Shooting on December 27, 2017******
On January 7, 2018 Detectives of the Hobbs Police Department were notified that Alejandro Carmona , 22, of Hobbs, the victim involved in the shooting that occurred on December 27, 2017, had suffered several medical complications resulting from the injuries sustained during the shooting incident. On January 7, 2018 at approximately 8:08 P.M. (Central Time) Carmona was pronounced deceased at University Medical Center in Lubbock Texas.

On January 8, 2018 the charges against Patrick Sanders, 36, of Hobbs, were amended. The charge of Shooting at or from a Motor Vehicle resulting in great bodily harm was amended, and he was charged with Murder (1st Degree Felony). The other existing charges including Felon in Possession of a Firearm (4th Degree Felony) and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (4th Degree Felony) remain. He is currently being held at LCDC on no bond.

On December 19, 2017 Officer’s took a report for a stolen wallet, credit and debit cards, and iPhone from 3800 N Lovington Highway.

The investigation revealed the suspect pictured had used the debit card at the same location of the theft. The suspect left in a black 4-door car.
