Great Job!

Chief Mark Williams would like to publicly recognize two Utica police officers for saving the life of a man during a car fire.

On January 6, 2018, Utica Police Officers Joshua Sweet & Kyle Fee pulled a man out of a burning vehicle, thus saving his life. The incident occurred on the 1600 block of Bennett Street. This person was suffering from a medical condition and crash his car.

According to Utica Firefighter Lt. Philip Taurisano, the car was completely on fire when they arrived, and in his opinion, the injured motorist would not have survived if not for the actions taken by our police officers.
