Tonight our officers responded to a stolen vehicle that happened at Casey’s on 25 St and 20 Ave S as the victim went in to pay for gas. Officers located the truck a short time later and tried to do a traffic stop on it, at which time the suspect rammed into one of our squad cars and fled in the victim’s vehicle. Thanks to OnStar, officers were able to have the stolen vehicle disabled, and eventually officers arrested Ryan Love on several charges. Thankfully, the officer in the damaged squad car was not injured. Tonight’s incident serves as a reminder to the public to PLEASE lock your vehicles, even if left for a short period of time and especially if the vehicle is left running.
