Fourth search warrant in as many weeks:

On January 3rd, 2018, The Lancaster Police Department served a search warrant on a problematic residence in the South Mount Pleasant area netting four physical arrests for drug related crimes and/or outstanding warrants.

This was the fourth search warrant served in four weeks by the Lancaster Police Department for drug related offenses. Warrants for problematic residences have been served in the areas of Second Street, Welsh Avenue, and Harrison Avenue in addition to this most recent action taken.

Officers from the department’s third watch have conducted these investigations with tremendous input from community members. These residences created severe quality of life issues for the neighborhoods. The community worked hard to impact their operations.

These investigations have been unique in that neighborhood members directly communicated with our officers as they were able to work hand in hand to come to a resolution. We would like to emphasize that operations like this take time, information, and most of all a willingness to not allow others to negatively impact our community.
