Thank you Lorri for sharing this message of appreciation regarding the recent kind acts of NPD Sgt. Darin Morgan!

“I was driving from OKC to Lawton this morning for the interment of my brother’s ashes at Ft. Sill National Cemetery and had a flat tire right on a very busy stretch of I-44. I called my roadside assistance program and they gave me the name and number of the auto shop they were going to call to come and help me. I called the auto shop to find out how long it would be only to be told that they weren’t a provider for this program and they didn’t do roadside assistance. I was getting very upset that I would be so late because, you see, I had my brother’s ashes in my car. Then Officer Darin Morgan of NPD pulled up behind me to see if I was okay. I explained the situation to him, he made a quick phone call, then took my tire off, took me to Wal-Mart to get a new tire, waited with me, and took me back to my car to put the tire on for me. I was back on the road in about 30 minutes. Made it to the service and all was well. I cannot thank this officer (and his canine partner!) enough for stopping to help me. He truly saved the day. My entire family thanks him!”
