Corvallis Police K9 Program Seeking Partnerships

The Corvallis Police Department K9 Program conducts K9 training with other local agencies on a weekly basis, in and around the greater Corvallis area. As part of the training, the K9 handlers use local businesses, government buildings, and open areas, to create a varying training environment. The dogs are trained in a multitude of skills including tracking, articles searches, criminal apprehension, and handler protection.

The K9 program is seeking the assistance of local businesses or organizations who would be interested in partnering with the Corvallis Police Department by making their location available as a training location. The location must be available after normal business hours, must be unoccupied during the training time, and be conducive to the training program.

Anyone interested in learning how they can partner with Corvallis Police K9 Program should contact Lieutenant Ryan Eaton at 541-766-6420 or ryan.eaton@corvallisoregon.gov.
