****NO Parking on Amherst Ave. April 19th, 2018****

Amherst Avenue designated “No Parking” zone
on Thursday, April 19 for snow removal
OSHKOSH, Wis. April 18, 2018 – In accordance with Section 27-34 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh, the following streets have been designated as “No Parking” to allow for the removal of snow tomorrow, April 19, 2018:
Amherst Avenue from Elmwood Avenue to Jackson Street.
Temporary “No Parking” signs will be installed this evening, with snow removal operations expected to commence about 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Per Section 27-34 (B) of the Municipal Code, any vehicles remaining parked on this street after 6 a.m. are subject to being towed to facilitate the removal of the snow.
Earlier designations for no parking on Prospect Avenue and Scott Avenue have been lifted.
With the record snowfall amounts over the weekend, it is important that we have the street free of parked vehicles to allow snow removal staff ample space to clear the street. Parking is at a premium in this area, which is why parked cars must be relocated in order to remove the snow that is currently causing a serious public hazard by impairing the movement of vehicular traffic in this area.
The Public Works Department will continue to monitor street and traffic conditions on other streets in this area, and may have future parking restrictions to continue to allow Streets Division crews space to clear snow and get parking restored.
For more information, please contact the Department of Public Works main office at (920) 236-5065 or the Streets Division at (920) 232-5380.

PROSPECT AND SCOTT AVE DESIGNATED NO PARKING ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 FOR SNOW REMOVAL

OSHKOSH, Wis. April 17, 2018 – In accordance with Section 27-34 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh, the following streets have been designated as “No Parking” to allow for the removal of snow tomorrow, April 18, 2018:

• Prospect Avenue from Wisconsin Street to Elmwood Avenue
• Scott Avenue from Jackson Street to Elmwood Avenue

Temporary “No Parking” signs will be installed this evening, with snow removal operations expected to commence about 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Per Section 27-34 (B) of the Municipal Code, any vehicles remaining parked on these streets after 6 a.m. are subject to being towed to facilitate the removal of the snow.

With the record snowfall amounts over the weekend, and the forecast for more snow on Wednesday, it is important that we have these streets free of parked vehicles to allow snow removal staff ample space to clear these tight streets. Parking is at a premium in these areas, which is why parked cars must be relocated in order to remove the snow that is currently causing a serious public hazard by impairing the movement of vehicular traffic in this area.
